What a wonderful term we have had at Southport Gymnastics Club. We were excited to host our highest Bunnings BBQ fundraiser yet, raising more than $2500 for our Club. Thank you to Super Butcher Southport for donating our sausages.
We also celebrated the Olympics with our senior gymnast sleepover. See all the highlights and fun here.

Competition season
Congratulations to all our Junior gymnasts on the near completion of their competition season for 2024. Best of luck to everyone who qualified and competition at the Junior State Championships over the school holidays. We also had many gymnasts selected for the Junior State regional teams, which will also compete at the State Championships.

Level 6: Isla and Havarna
Our Level 5-8's will then continue on and compete in the National Clubs Carnival at the beginning of Term 4.

Coaches corner: A message from our Head Coach Maddy
Our juniors are nearing the end of their 2024 competition season with some great results to take with them. We wish the level 4-6 gymnasts' good luck in the upcoming 2024 Junior State Championships.
Our level 5-8 gymnasts are looking forward to the National Club Carnival where we hope to show our best performances and finish the competition year off on a high.
Term 4 will see all our groups shift to prepare for our 2025 season where we will work on new skills and have a bit of fun pushing our limits!
Recreational corner: A message from our Club Coordinator Skye
2024 has brought some great changes to our Kindergym, Bronze, Silver, Gold Recreational programming. We are excited for our gymnasts on the new skills they are obtaining.
This week brings our skills testing for term 3!
We have some exciting events for our recreational classes for term 4, Gala day, end of year celebrations, bring your parents to gym day.

Committee changes
The Southport Gymnastics Club Committee wishes to report a change in leadership, following the resignation of President AJ Williams and Treasurer Sara Williams. We are grateful for the time AJ and Sara dedicated to our club, which included securing grants of almost $800,000 in funding for equipment and maintenance.
The current committee is as follows, but an AGM will be called on 12 October 2024, where all committee members will resign and need to be re-elected. More details about the AGM will be emailed to all members and an opportunity to nominate for any of the positions.
