Fundraising update: Term 1 2022

Hi families and thank you for a great Term 1. Our committee has had a very busy start to the year with our fundraising initiatives, so we wanted to take the time to firstly, thank you for your ongoing support and secondly to update you on how much we’ve raised and what we’re planning next. Thank-you BBQ

Now that restrictions have eased we want to say thanks for all your support so far this year.  We’ll be holding a FREE thank you BBQ on Saturday 26 March at our club from 11am – 1pm. Grab a free sausage on bread and drink, chat to our lovely committee members and get to know other parents of the club.  If you’re child doesn’t train Saturday, you are still more than welcome to pop by for your sausage and a chat 😊  

Also, a big shout of to our volunteers who helped at the Bunnings BBQ fundraiser, even though we were rained out, we still managed to make a small profit and appreciated all the offers of help to make it a reality.

Raffle winners

We’re excited to announce that our first raffle of the year raised $2400 which means we are able to purchase some new equipment for the club and provide more maintenance to our building.  The coaches are currently deciding what to purchase. As part of our lease agreement with City of Gold Coast we are required to take care of all maintenance required, and with an old building like ours there is quite a bit of upkeep. Thank you so much for your support as we know the new equipment will mean the world to our students and coaching team.

Our raffle winners were announced today. A big thank you to everyone who sold tickets to family and friends and to our sponsors who kindly donated the raffle prizes. If you’re a winner you should have already been contacted, please let us know if you haven’t.

Club Disco – Save the Date

Get your fluros ready because it’s disco time! We’re holding a disco at the Club on Saturday 30 April from 5pm to 7.30pm to provide some fun for all our amazing gymnasts. Siblings are also welcome to join. Tickets will be just $12 which will include a sausage on bread and a drink. More details and a link to purchase tickets will be available soon.  

Community directory

To keep the wonderful community spirit alive in our Club we’ll be starting a community directory on our website. This will allow everyone to see the businesses that our parents and members own and we’ll be encouraging everyone to reach out to one of these businesses as your first point of call.
