Welcome back to 2022
Welcome back to another great year at Southport Gymnastics Club. A big welcome to all our new members who are joining us and those who are returning. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to welcome you to the Southport Gymnastics community. We’ve been lucky to have our competitive gymnasts back training since mid-January and we can’t wait to welcome our recreational gymnasts back on February 7. We’ve got some exciting events and announcements coming up too. We’ve also updated our Club Handbook and COVID safe policy so it would be great if you could revisit these.
Gym Tots and Tumblers
We can’t wait to start our new Gym Tots and Tumblers classes from Tuesday 15 February. We’ve had a lot of interest in these classes starting. Gym Tots will be a 2 to 3 year old parent assisted class, while Tumblers will be for 3.5 to 4 year olds.
Our Gym Tots and Tumblers classes are a progressive gymnastics program for boys and girls designed specially to benefit the under 5’s. Diverse learning themes encourage children to explore and play whilst developing and enhancing their balance coordination, movement, confidence, and flexibility through fun and challenging physical activities.
These classes will run on Tuesday mornings at 9am. Please share the exciting news with your friends and family.
Fundraiser raffle
We’re kicking off 2022 with our first club fundraiser! To help us raise funds for some new equipment we decided to hold a raffle as we have some amazing prizes up for grabs thanks to the kind donations from local businesses.

Easter hamper basket
Raffle tickets are just $5 each. Tickets will be sent home with gymnasts. The raffle closes on March 5.
There’s also a special prize for the gymnasts that sell the most tickets - first place is an iFly voucher and 2nd prize an event cinemas ticket for 2. We can’t wait to give away these amazing prizes.
Awards night
To close off the year, Southport Gymnastics Club celebrated with an end of year Awards Celebration Dinner at Southport Yacht Club. There were many gymnasts acknowledged for their efforts throughout the year. To see the gallery of photos and winners from the night click here.
