Term 2 Newsletter 2023
Thank you for a fantastic Term 2. The Southport Gymnastics Club committee is proud of our whole club for the effort put into coaching, training and supporting this wonderful club.
Fundraising update
We’ve had some great things to celebrate this Term with the start of the Junior competition season. We were also pleased to be able to purchase our new Spieth beat board for vault thanks to our Term 1 fundraising efforts. This term we’re in the running to win a share of $3000 thanks to Greater Bank. If our club receives the most votes, we will take home $2000, and runners up will receive $500 each. Please keep voting through to June 28 via greater.com.au/greatergoldcoast. Voting can be done every hour if you’re enthusiastic.
In Term 3 we are excited to secure another date for a Bunnings BBQ fundraiser on 22 July. Stay tuned for more information as it gets closer.
As our AGM is only a few months away, we’d like to share some of the things our current committee has accomplished in such a short time - read more here.
You may have also seen some work being done around our club building. This is part of our re-stumping project. As part of our lease agreement with City of Gold Coast our club is responsible for covering costs for maintenance of our building. Replacing the pylons under the club was a request by City of Gold Coast and we were fortunate to receive a local government grant to allow us to cover the funds for this important piece of maintenance.
